As a Director of Management Governance Australia and Workforce Plus Inc, David brings more than 30 years of experience working across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. 


MGA and its NFP arm, Workforce Plus, work across Australia to provide innovative solutions for industry, communities, and government. Both companies support a diverse range of clients to develop and grow their organisational or community cultures, structures, and processes.


As a former CEO and Victorian State Manager of National Disability Services, and before this as the leader of the central agency team which coordinated the Victorian Government’s contribution to developing the NDIS, David has a detailed understanding of the Scheme and the challenges and issues faced by young people with disability, their families and supporters. 


Having started his working life as a lawyer, David has also worked as an executive in the Victorian Public Service, leading teams responsible for national health and safety reform, strategic WHS policy, WHS legislation and regulations and regulatory framework development, departmental budget strategy and corporate planning

Melissa is the Assistant State Inspector in the Strategic Programs Team, focusing on the Health Care and Social Assistance Sector within NSW, which includes disability support, aged care, hospitals, allied health and early childhood education sub-sectors.

 

She has been an Inspector with SafeWork NSW for 8.5 years and has experience working within various teams across SafeWork, including: General WHS, Specialist RTW and Investigations and Emergency Response.

 

She is a qualified Rehabilitation Counsellor and social worker and has experience working in occupational rehabilitation, youth and children’s services, disability support and case management.

Melissa is passionate about improving health and safety for workers and others in the Health Care and Social Assistance Sector.

During Ben’s study he gained industry experience interning with Ergon Energy and with a Brisbane law firm before deciding to pursue a career in migration law.

While working for a migration agency in Townsville, Ben undertook the Graduate Certificate of Australian Migration Law and Practice through Australian National University and was registered as a Migration Agent in March 2015.

Having worked in the migration services industry since July 2012, most recently as a senior migration solicitor in a Canberra law firm, Ben has successfully prepared and lodged hundreds of successful visa and skills assessment applications.

He possesses extensive experience representing clients at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and has experience with character cancellation cases and detention matters.

Tracey is passionate about the intersection of business and social impact and loves working collaboratively to create evidence based and data informed sustainable futures for people, organisations and communities.

Tracey is a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders. a Professional Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute, holds a Master of Business Administration from Griffith University and is currently completing a research study How disability support workers’ work orientation effects their professional identity, job satisfaction and work engagement (GU Ref 2023/402).

She has previously presented at the NDP Virtual Workforce Conference and Ignite Talks Sydney.
